Here are a few of the questions I get asked the most. If you have a question that isn’t answered here, feel free to get in touch by sending me a note at hello@passportvoyager.com. I’m always happy to chat about travel, music, social media, or anything else!

What do you do in New York?
I recently graduated with my B.A. in music management, and currently work remotely for a start-up company while living in Brooklyn.

Where are you from?
Born and raised in Monterey, California. Moved 3,000+ miles across the country to New York City during the winter of 2010 to pursue a career in the music industry and take a (big) risk. It has been scary, exhilarating, educational, exhausting and transformative. I wouldn’t change a single thing.

Why do you travel alone?
Read more about this in my post: Traveling Solo

How can you afford to travel?
In short, I can’t! I’m just like you. I don’t have a sugar daddy financing my nomadic dreams. I’m just a broke college grad living off of a very modest income in a very expensive city, with the belief that life is too short to tuck away your dreams for later. I sacrifice, work long hours, make financial decisions some may consider silly, and as a result, I see the world as much as I can…which I’ve never once regretted. More on how I make travel happen, coming soon.

Aren’t you scared to travel solo as a female?
Not at all. I’ve lived in Brooklyn, New York for the past 7 years and know what it takes to be safe and how important it is to stay aware of your surroundings. I’m smart about safety here and just as smart when I’m traveling. I know not to wave my phone or camera around on the subway, how to blend in even in unfamiliar places, and how to use my common sense. I’m a firm believer that being prepared, having a plan, and using your gut go a long way when you’re traveling – just as they do when you’re on your home turf.

What WordPress theme are you using?
Laurel by Solo Pine.

Where have you been?
Many different cities in Italy, France, England, Germany, and Mexico (to build houses, not vacation), Oslo and Moscow on layovers (I have a crazy story about staying in the Moscow Airport overnight, where I narrowly missed bumping into Edward Snowden). In the United States, I’ve traveled around California , New York, Washington, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington D.C., South Carolina, Washington, Oregon, Texas, Massachussetts, and some others.

What are you going to do with your life?
Great question! When you find out, please let me know.
