Welcome to my little corner of the blogosphere! Thanks for stopping by. Pull up a chair and a cup of tea and stay awhile!
Here’s me, in a nutshell:
My name is Sierra (also known as Sahara, Sienna, or Ciara at Starbucks), and I’m 28.
Born and raised in California, I moved to New York City 7 years ago for a new adventure.
I like long walks through the Target home goods department and personally believe that one of life’s greatest pleasures is cracking open a perfectly ripe avocado.
(More random facts about me here.)
I’ve jumped out of a rowboat inside the Blue Grotto, survived a 17-hour layover in a Russian airport, made it through 7 years alone in NYC (sanity mostly intact), worked with touring bands on the road, built houses in Mexico in the hot summer sun, and traveled around Europe for almost two months straight (mostly solo)…amongst a few other things.
I just graduated with a degree in music management and communications, after taking time off from school to move 3,000 miles across the country and switch career paths (from nursing to music business). I’m lucky enough to have found a remote job with a start-up company that allows me the extra freedom to travel and work from anywhere in the world. My passion continues to be rooted in music (specifically music supervision for TV & film), and I’m still figuring out what my future might look like – as most graduates in their twenties are.
Traveling is truly one of my biggest joys in life and I just can’t seem to get enough. I’ve always loved exploring new places and was bitten by the travel bug at a very young age. My 51-day Europe trip in the summer of 2015 was largely what inspired me to start this blog. I’m looking forward to documenting my travels with plenty of photos and stories (plus some helpful tips and tricks along the way), as well as sharing about my life in New York City.
Thanks for coming along for the ride!
